Legos, house projects, and silly faces

February 2014

Frank says "You can't just 'play' with legos, you have to build something."

Building famous scenes from the Titanic

Jack:  I'm the king of the world
(Titanic hits an ice burg and starts to sink...yes with a random penguin watching the whole scene)

Rose: I love you, Jack
Jack: Don't you do that, don't say your good-byes. Not yet, do you understand me?
Rose: I'm so cold. I can't feel my body.
Jack: Never let go.
Rose: I'll never let go, Jack. I'll never let go.

Benjamin has started to "cheese" and make a "silly face"for the camera

Hannah can make a "silly face" too

His shirt says it all!

Hanging out on our bed in the morning

I wonder what Hannah is thinking in this picture

Sweet kisses

Tummy time is not Hannah's favorite, but Benjamin makes it better

While most of the country was measuring their snow fall in inches, we only got a slight dusting here in Memphis. Just enough to cover the ground and roads (for the morning).

Benjamin is still not a fan of the snow...

...but snack time by the fire makes his day!

All bundled up for a walk

Frank has completed numerous indoor projects this month since the weather has been colder.

Benjamin has learned a lot of tool names.
Hammer, screwdriver, tape measure, and of course clamps.

On the warmer days Frank was able to start working outside again on the guest house.

Landscaping Phase 2:
Measuring for the brick boarder and preparing our garden for this spring

Benjamin is never far away trying to "help"

Benjamin using his favorite tool, the "mammer"

Still a work in progress.
Hopefully next month we will have it complete.

I made Benjamin a learning board
I have enjoyed "teaching" him - nothing too advanced just the basics : )

This site can only mean one thing...DATE NIGHT at the Roberts house!

Kate pushing Benjamin on his scooter

Play-Doh kept these 5 busy toddlers entertained while we got 3 babies fed and down to bed.

Note to Self - When trying to get 3 babies to smile for a picture don't accidentally scare them - lol

Oh well...Made an awesome V-day card

There's a smile : )

3 Months Old!
She is such a doll!

Winter Olympics in Sochi

No, I didn't compete in the Olympics but thought I should be awarded a gold medal for taking BOTH kids to Costco without any meltdowns!

This is what I felt like

I am so honored to receive this award. I would like to thank the many snacks that helped me get through this grocery shopping trip ; )

Botanic Gardens with our neighbor friend Dylan

They are starting to look less like toddlers and more like little boys each month.

January 2014

*************WARNING*************
Skip to cute pictures of Hannah if you don't want to see a dead pig...

*************WARNING*************

So...we bought a live pig and after Frank "took care of it" he brought it home.
(If you think this is gross be thankful I didn't post the picture of it hanging up in our garage!)

Frank definitely gets a "man card" for processing the 225 lb pig himself : )

We now have 60+ pounds of different pork cuts and ground meat to add to the venison in our freezer!

Delicious pork roast!

Hannah showing off her smiles at 2 months

Animal card study session...she had to really think hard about this one

Hannah has now been added to the group during our date night swap.
It was an adventure watching 5 toddlers and 3 babies for the night.

Kids playing in the "fort"

Thankfully they wore each other out and they were ALL asleep upstairs by 8:35pm.

Benjamin getting comfy as we drove through the night for a short visit to see my family in Kingsport.
Thanks to our friends for letting us borrow a car seat that reclines in place and an iPad!

My mom, Hannah, and I drove to Winston-Salem, NC to visit more family.
Aunt Becky and Hannah

Nanny meeting Hannah for the first time

Michael relived his childhood while showing Benjamin his micro-machine cars.

Uncle Michael and Aunt Brandy

I always enjoy getting to spend time with my family.
We have been spoiled getting to see them so much the past few months!

Hannah all pretty for her baby dedication at First Baptist Kingsport

We had a special time dedicating Hannah to the Lord with my former church family.
I always enjoy going back to visit and seeing all the people that watched me grow up.

Lots of love from Mimi and Grandy

One last ride before time to get back on the road

At a rest stop before "bed time".
Benjamin must have felt like he was at the Children's Museum. He ended up honking the horn then flashing the lights at an ambulance parked in front of us...oops!

Seems like we brought the cold weather back with us to Memphis.
I had to get creative this month with indoor activities due to the extreme cold.

Painting with water has been a big hit!

Shaving cream was not - lol

Pretend cooking with pipe cleaners while I make dinner

Color Sorting Activity

I made an updated slideshow of family pictures for Benjamin to watch

Benjamin loves to visit Frank at work and see his toy "tractors" larger than life!

On a warmer afternoon we were able to get some fresh air and go for a walk in the park.

After bath photo session

Hannah helping with the laundry...or at least making it a lot more fun

Frank made these awesome rulers for the kids so we can start measuring their growth.
