This is my "Push Present" from Frank
It was a painting that I fell in love with over 5 years ago when we were dating.
Frank contacted the artist and gave her the colors of our nursery and asked
if she would make another painting. I was so suprised! It goes perfect with our
nautical theme and I just love the scripture from Psalm 139.
This is a banner that will hang over the crib.
It spells out "Benjamin" in nautical flags
This was an incidental finding at Lowes but I instantly fell in love with this rug.
I think Marley approves of it too : )
Frank saw these fan pulls at Lowes and bought them as a surprise for me.
I just love them - especially when it's the only thing finished in the nursery at this point : )
I bought this glider rocker chair frame for $30 in a consignment sale!
The seat cushion was custom made for under $100
So here is the beginning of the transformation from office into nursery
Since our house was built in 1940 Frank had a lot of work to do
on the ceiling, windows, and walls.
This single pane window has driven Frank crazy for 5 years
So he finally replaced it with a window that matches the others (below)
Lots of sanding and removing of crown molding
Frank's biggest accomplishment thus far...opening up the bedroom windows
which had been painted shut for decades! He was so proud!
Choosing the paint colors for the wall
Decided on a light gray "Half Moon Crest" by Benjamin Moore
And the painting begins...
This is a picture of what Frank is doing tonight
He has been working tirelessly on this room to have it finished before Benjamin's arrival
(which could be early) I'm so thankful for my handy husband!
I'm looking forward to getting to the point where I can move it all of the furniture into
his room and organize all of his things!
Updated Pictures 11-6-11
Awaiting the crib that my dad is building...but for now the pack and play : )
