Frank went out hunting 8 times last year and never even SAW a deer!
So this year Frank was cautiously optimistic as he set out on his first adventure with Josh.
After 4 hours Frank saw his first deer, aimed, and BOOM...got em.
His friend Josh got the other deer.

Yeah I know...gross
At home butchering the deer to make tenderloins, roasts, and ground venison
I helped package all the meat for the freezer...
that should get wife of the year award!
The next night we went over to the Barretta's house who graciously
allowed us to use their grinder to make and package ground venison.
Stacey made a recipe for sausage (which does not include paprika!)
and mixed it into part of the meat.
The guys did all the dirty work while I helped with the packaging and weighing
Deer #2 11/17/11
So...Frank managed to get a second hunting trip in before Benjamin arrives with his friend Austin
This time he was only in the stand for 45 minutes when he saw, aimed, and shot a 4 point buck!
Did I mention that he is shooting these deer with his 50 calibre flint lock rifle that he made himself!
