October/November 2018 Highlights

*****OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS*****

Our hearts were full as we got to see our first-born baptized as a testament to his salvation and New Life in Jesus!

His best friend Reece was also baptized the following Sunday

My parents came for a visit for Benjamin's baptism

Life is always more fun with Mimi and Grandy

We are so thankful for their help and special time they spend with the kids

Hannah and Ruthie playing dress-up

Hannah and Sunny painting : )

Fun evening celebrating Pops' birthday

Benjamin getting in some target practice for hunting season
He is a very good shot!

Fall Fest 2018
You would not think it's fall based on Benjamin's choice of clothes
Unless it's below 32 degrees it's hard to get him in anything long sleeve or pants - ha

Bethany standing and ready to take off

I joke that Judah is usually doing one of two things:
1. Getting into mischief (such as pulling apart a tree at church to have his own Christmas tree)
OR

2. Sitting quietly reading a book : )

Maybe this is where he gets all his ideas of things to get into - Ha!

We got "the call" about a little boy who needed a home and we said "yes"

First peek at our little guy

Our kids have welcomed him home with lots of extra love. When you have littles it's hard to get out and serve others. He has given our whole family a way to minister in the normal rhythm of our day...and night.

NOVEMBER HIGHLIGHTS

When you know it's gone from summer to winter too fast - LOL
First snow in Memphis happened in November! We had been wearing flip flops just a few days before!

First time with all five kiddos in the car!

We made it to the Children's Museum and survived

Let the festivities begin!
November begins our season of celebration with three kids birthdays, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas.

Hannah turned 5!

Hannah is our sweet, spunky, and silly girl!
Her birthday wish was to be  "queen ruler for the day"

From one to five so quick...Don't blink!
Love that dimple : )

Benjamin turned SEVEN 5 days later
Sometimes I look at a picture and think, "Wow, when did he grow up?!"
He is a young man in training - one that's compassionate, intuitive, and noble.

He legit beat me in a game of battleship and was SO proud

Some say looks like my mini-me

But he takes a lot from his Dad too, such as his love for hunting.

They made some wonderful Father/son memories while hunting. Benjamin shot his first buck with a muzzleloader! Frank was pleased with his patience, steady hand, and calm under pressure to wait for the right moment.

Our little man two months old and growing!

Emily is "my person". Everyone needs a friend like this. Someone who will take the night watch so you can get a full nights rest.

Sister Love <3

Zoo lights with Nana and Pops

Despite Judah's smug face he had a blast too!

The kitchen deconstruction continues...

Look out Bethany is on the move! I think she must have had some help from a sibling to get that door open.

Nerf Gun wars with Dad to "Eye of the Tiger" is one of the kids favorites.

Took all 5 kids to the park for a picnic on my own.
Believe me it was not a "picnic" or a "walk in the park" - LOL

Visit with Mamaw and Papaw
Lots of smiles and hugs

Big three having a fun date night with Nana and Pops at Bass Pro

Bethany getting some Nana love too

When you take 5 kids out for a stroll you can see people counting - lol

If I only had an ounce of his energy

Our little man has gone from 5lbs to 10lbs and is looking so healthy!

My three Littles under three
That's a whole lot of diapers!!!

Super Dad!

Glows stick dance parties while playing Christmas music

Our hearts are so full. We got to meet two of Memphis' finest EMT and Paramedics at Fire Station 16. They were the first responders to the call on our little man and literally saved his life when he didn't have a chance of survival at only 3lbs. We know God has big plans for his life.

Thank you FFP Simons and FFEMT Lewis for your daily bravery and the way you step into danger in order to keep our city safe. You have a special place in our hearts and it was an honor to meet you!

“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.”
Galatians 6:9
