"Wonderfully Made"

February has been a joy as Benjamin has been
showing us a little more of his personality
We are so thankful for this sweet blessing from the Lord!

Psalm 139:14
"I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well."

Playtime has been more fun as he is starting to grab onto his toys
and holding his head up better during tummy time

He always falls alseep during car rides

Chillin' with mom and dad

Benjamin loves hanging out with his friends Reece (above) and Joshua (below)
All 3 born just a few weeks apart!

Blake and Joy stopped by to meet Benjamin while they were in Memphis
We miss them so much!

Mamaw and Papaw came to visit Benjamin - He just adores them!

They gave him a dollar for his piggy bank - doesn't he look so pleased

90 years spans the gap between these two hands

Benjamin and Marley curled up on Frank's lap by the fire

Showing off his muscles : )

Bathtime

We have enjoyed going on walks during these warm winter days

There's a First Time for Everything

January has been full of firsts...
Benjamin's first smile, first shots, first time sleeping throught the night (even though it was only once), first 8 hour car trip to Kingsport, first time meeting Uncle Michael, & first time sitting up in his bumbo seat.
It's been fun to watch our little man grow - he's almost 11lbs now and growing out of his clothes!

Here are a few pictures from this month...

Check out that head control!

Benjamin's first smile caught on camera (Jan 13th)

Holding onto his rattle for the first time

Early morning smiles...great way to wake up

Benjamin likes to look out windows at the light
Valkyrie is not sure what to think about this new little man in the house

Getting ready for a long car ride to Kingsport

Naptime with dad

Uncle Michael and Aunt Brandy
They are going to spoil Benjamin rotten!

Birthday buddies (Nov. 20th)
They are exactly 30 years apart in age!

Benjamin just adored his Aunt Brandy!

Lots of friends/family wanted to come see Benjamin during our visit

Benjamin has my dad's webbed toes!

Without love, this is nothing...

My dad graciously offered to build Benjamin his crib...
not just any crib but the 3 in 1 kind that will convert as he grows.
He has worked tirelessly day and night to finish this masterpiece (see below)

He constructed a beautiful arch for the top of the headboard
Not an easy task...

Finished but not stained

Putting on the final coat of sealer before it is finished

Dad (Grandy) put Benjamin down for his first nap in his new crib
12-30-11

"Thanks for my crib Grandy!"

We will enjoy having this beautiful piece of furniture throughout the years (and kids)
I'm sure one day we will be able to pass it on to Benjamin for his first child
