August

With hunting season and baby around the corner the guest house has been high on the priority list. Frank's goal is to have the exterior of the house completed before (hunting/baby/cold weather). He has been working hard all month and getting it closer to that point.

Removing the old roof

This was not a good day...Frank found out part of the roof needed new boards due to carpenter ant damage. After a long day/night of work (11hrs straight...on the hot roof), Frank got the boards replaced and tar paper on before the rain came.

Frank roofed the entire guest house on his own. Have I mentioned recently how blessed I am to have such a hard working, talented, and brave hubby?!

Final removal of the old siding and putting up the sheathing.

Yep...all on his own!

My parents have been in town for Labor Day and my dad has been very helpful as Frank started the siding on the most difficult section of the guest house. Dad said, "You made a whole new meaning for 'Labor' Day" LOL. I'm thankful for a dad who is always willing and able to help out with Frank's projects. Once dad gets back to Kingsport he will be working on building us twin bunk beds for Benjamin's "big boy room".

Benjamin loves to help Daddy outside...

and Mommy inside too!

Mamaw's 90th Birthday Party
and Papaw turned 94 a few days later.

Sad day as we had to say goodbye to some good friends, the Holleys, who moved to Texas this month.

Awesome garage sale find!
Benjamin was adding up the number of diapers I have changed over the past 21 months...looks like he had only gotten through the first few months : )

Snack time after swimming at the neighbor's pool

Nana caught Benjamin making this silly face after nap time

Mimi caught this sweet face during her visit : )

Frank and I went fishing for our date night...

Check out this HUGE fish I caught right before time to leave. LOL - At least we still had fun!

Breakfast on the porch on an unusually cool morning in August

Now Benjamin recognizes Frank's face in the photo album and points and says "Daddy!"
His vocabulary is expanding day by day. Some of his new words include: Please, Thank you, Valkryie, Marley, Water, Banana, Up, Cookie, and Football.

Fun exploring at the new Overton Park Playground

Hannah at 27 weeks
We were excited to get a sneak peak of Hannah's sweet face!  The best part was that my parents got to watch the ultrasound live on their computer. I would highly recommend First Impressions to anyone wanting to do a 4D ultrasound - Great experience!

Hannah at 28 weeks
Since she wasn't fully cooperative the first session so we got to come back the next week. Her face filled out a little more (looking more like Benjamin's 4D below).

Benjamin 27 week 4D Ultrasound (2011)

Hannah at 29 weeks
When I told Frank we were one week away from the 10 week countdown he said..."Yikes! So you mean we're already one week into the 12 week countdown?!" LOL

We enjoyed an epic night of bowling with our awesome small group

Got out some things from the attic to prepare for watching baby Samuel. Benjamin has grown a little since the the last time he played in the bouncy seat!

I get to hang out with this cutie twice a week!

Benjamin helped by "feeding the baby" although the moment didn't last very long : )

Benjamin's towers have come a long way in just a few weeks. They are getting taller as he can now stack 3 blocks vertically.

Kids saying "Cheese"

My mom came to visit at the beginning AND the end of the month! What a great Mimi! We had fun at the Children's Museum (above/below).

My dad built us a rocking horse - Just like the one I had growing up! Benjamin is learning how to mount and dismount on the left : )
Benjamin had to have one last ride before bedtime

Labor Day cookout at Ridgefield with the whole family! Next time my parents will be in town will be to see baby Hannah : )
Aunt Michele and Uncle Josh

Happy Labor Day!
