Celebrate

This month we focused on loving others as Christ has loved us. When I saw Benjamin being loving we would celebrate and write it on a heart for our board. He gets so excited to put up a heart and say the verse. One of my favorites was when he asked if he could help me unload the dishes.

Benjamin loves to pull Hannah in the wagon on our walks

We collected colorful fall leaves and made a wreath

"Ta Da!"
I think we might have an engineer on our hands

Fun afternoon exploring the Botanic Gardens.
Feeding the ducks, climbing trees, and playing in the dinosaur park.

We had a great time at our 5th annual Fall Fest!
Chili cook-off, skeet shooting, bouncy house, hay ride, bon-fire, smores and great friends.

The guys shooting skeet

Benjamin wasn't fond of the noise at first...

but it didn't take long for him to warm up to the idea.
Oh dear...

Hay Ride!

Benjamin rode on the 4-wheeler with Frank during the hay ride.
It was a cold night with a bright full moon.

Guest house in progress...

Look who turned ONE!

Look who turned THREE!
He was so ready for me to stop taking pictures of Hannah (ha)

These two have literally been friends since birth.
Born within days of each other and have hung out every week since!

I love having the kid's birthdays in the same week.
It's a special time to celebrate!

Birthday Banners
I print my favorite picture from each month of the past year.
I love seeing how much they change.

My parents came in town for the kids birthdays

And they surprised me by flying my brother in too!
(We missed you Brandy)

Girls lunch and shopping : )

Guys lunch at Rendezvous and the MS River

Birthday Buddies - born exactly 30 years apart : )
(yes, I photobombed that pic)

This girl loves her Uncle Michael...and he is pretty smitten as well.

Double birthday dinner party with the family
(Or Triple if you count my brother)

After dinner waiting for the birthday cake
I can only imagine what he was thinking...

Construction Cake was a hit
My mom always made fun, themed birthday cakes - I want to continue that tradition.

"Happy Birthday to you...

Happy Birthday to you..."

Needless to say Hannah LOVED her cupcake

She had a major sugar-rush afterwards and was very silly

which made present opening a little more interesting

Hannah finally has a pink toy...until now it's been trucks, tools, and blocks

His first tool bench

Hannah is ready to shoot some hoops in their new b-ball goal!

Hannah has gone from taking a couple of steps to walking this month.

After a full week of birthday celebrations we started the holiday season with our First Frost dinner. I didn't take a single picture from Thanksgiving. Sometimes you just have to be in the moment and enjoy being with family.

Nana hugs!

We got our tree a little earlier than normal since we will be going to Kingsport for Christmas.

Everything is magical to Benjamin this Christmas season - it's going to be fun to start new traditions as a family.

I participated in a Jesse Tree ornament swap for an Advent calendar

Each night we will open an ornament bag and read about Jesus from Creation to the Manger.

Merry Christmas from the Roberts,
May the Lord richly bless you as you celebrate the birth of His Son this Season
