Cabin Fever

We kicked off February with a Super Bowl...I mean "The Big Game" Party with our small group

We had a few warmer days at the beginning of the month. I would have bottled up the sunshine had I realized what the weeks following would hold. ((Brrrr))

I love the view of being a "boy mom"

Frank has been working on getting the backyard ready for spring

Finished the brick boarder

Mixing the concrete

Leveling the concrete slab
Next week Frank will lay the stone for the patio : )

This month we built a "love chain" when Benjamin or Hannah demonstrated love.

One act of love was coloring and delivering Valentines to residents at Park View
They said, "I love you and Jesus does too" then had our Bible verse he was learning (above)

He was very proud of the finished product

Benjamin really enjoyed going from door to door and handing out Valentines
Such a sweet boy!

I think we spent a total of 15 minutes outside during the past 2 weeks.

This was the forecast last week...

So we rushed to the grocery store and bought a bazillion eggs

We were disappointed when all we got was 1/2" of sleet : (

At least Benjamin enjoyed shoveling the ice

I made a little "sleetman" family

We made our own "snow" in the bathtub
Other cabin fever activities included:

Pajama parties

Baking cookies for friends

Pom Pom Sweeping

Warming up by the fire

Parades with friends

Play dates

Dinner and Muddy's with some of the ladies from our class
Always a refreshing time with these sweet friends

Matching colors/patterns

Building projects

Bed Jumping

Lincoln Log building

Making Silly faces

Tractors and beans

Sing-a-longs at church

Hula Hooping

Visiting Nana at work

Shopping

Hallway obstacle course

Hide and Seek

Staying up late to work a puzzle

and more bubble baths

Mimi and Grandy came to visit - just in time to make the blog ; )

Passing on the tricks of the trade

Hannah spotted a robin on our fence yesterday
Hopefully that means spring is around the corner
