Christmas in July

July is one of my favorite months because it's full of celebrations (My birthday, the 4th, wedding anniversary, and vacation). It's like Christmas in July!

Brother Juniper's for my 30th birthday breakfast

"Mommy, I made you a birthday cake!"

Benjamin helped Frank build my birthday present

Love my trellis!
Once the pyracantha grows along the edges it will look even better!

Ready for the 4th of July Parade

Frank took the kids to a Redbirds' game
(Can you tell it was hot?!)

We have enjoyed cooling off at the pool

"Cheese"

The cardboard box house survived a full month!

Tractors + Dirt = New friend

Benjamin says he is "growing tall like Daddy."
(Hannah is not as thrilled about growing up)

Kids' first bowling trip
If you haven't already go to http://www.kidsbowlfree.com and sign your kids up for free bowling all summer!

Benjamin had a blast!

19 Weeks

If you come over to play you might end up detailing our tractor - ha!

What do YOU do in 100 degree weather?

Dig a drainage trench of course

Frank teaching Benjamin how to mow the grass

Benjamin continued to push the mower around the yard even when it was finished

Then helped sweep up the grass clippings

He even helped Frank pull branches down to the street
Benjamin said, "I'm a working man"

After all that hard work, these two sweaty boys need a shower!

Our corn is ready to harvest...

(This is what happens when you stay up till midnight freezing corn)

Getting ready for the beach trip by making cute lobsters

and studying about shells

We got to spend a wonderful week with my parents at Gulf Shores, AL. It was our first time on the Gulf and we made a lot of fun, new memories!

"Let's go play in the big sandbox!!!"

Somehow he got Grandy to fill up his pool while he played : )

Having an inflatable pool at the beach with a toddler is GENIUS!

Even if you have to sit in the pool with them half the time

After a morning at the beach we would spend the afternoon at the pool

Benjamin became very comfortable in the pool even swimming on his own for the first time!

Lambert's for dinner

Party of four...soon to be party of five

"Home of the throwed roll"

Hannah trying to catch a roll

Hannah got an early start on the beach...

while the boys went on a chartered fishing trip

They caught 10 Spanish mackerel and we ate them for dinner - YUM

Another beautiful morning on the beach

and a perfect day to fly a kite

Love this kid!

Evenings on the beach

We found out that ghost crab hunting is popular at Gulf Shores. We let Benjamin stay up past bedtime and gave him a flashlight on the beach. He had so much fun chasing after those crabs.

We found other fun things to do with the nets...like shelling

We collected a lot of beautiful shells to take home

Leave it to my dad to catch a fish : )

We also found a hermit crab that hung out with us for the day

By the end of the trip Benjamin started swimming in the ocean all by himself!

For my mom's birthday she cooked alligator bites (far right).
I know what you are thinking...but they were delicious!

Hannah on the phone telling her friends all about the trip

It's been a fun month but now we are wiped out!
