August 2015

A few of our chickens started laying eggs!

Fresh eggs are the best!

Our onion harvest

After 3.5 years of having weekly date nights this crew has become quite close.
These 8 kids are more than just friends...they are family.

The "babies" are not so little anymore

So we added #9 to the crew!
Welcome baby Caleb Gardner : )

Our little Judah is growing fast too and will be here before we know it.
We can't wait to meet this little guy.

My handsome twin nephews are 4 months old now and starting to play

We love getting to hang out with them.

We are continually grateful to have Nana and Pops around the corner.
They are always a huge help with the kids and we enjoy spending time together.

First trip to Jerry's Snow Cones

Feeding the fish at the Botanic Gardens

First day at St. Johns PDO

21 months

Hannah's first time swimming alone!

We always stop to visit these sheep at church

Benjamin's first time sitting in the barber seat on his own.
He doesn't look thrilled but he and Frank celebrated with a Muddy's cupcake afterwards

Climbing to new heights at the Children's Museum

Benjamin's first sleep over with his best friend Reece
which included making colored pancakes with "prizes" (aka M&M's)

We took Reece with us to meet his parents at our Life Group "End of Summer" party
(Hannah wasn't so sure about being in the 3rd row)

Our class rented a bouncy water slide - it was a huge hit for all the kids...

...and the adults too!

Boys and their water guns...

Have I mentioned lately how awesome our Life Group is?!
(No, we don't have an elephant in our class...)
Frank and I have loved leading this young married class for six years now. We don't just do Sunday mornings together - we do LIFE together and having this community has strengthened our relationship with God and our marriage.

Some of our Life Group members down at Beale St. on a Friday night for an outreach.
Asking people "How may I pray for you?"

Working hard and playing hard with the Bobbitt's after helping out a widow that our Life Group has loved on the past few years.

Three Stooges...I mean Amigos in their life group at church
(Two of them were in time out...the other decided to join because it looked fun - Ha!)

We also love having couples from our life group over to our house for dinner.
Whether it's just one family...

...or seven families!

Including twelve kiddos : )
I'm so thankful our kids are growing up knowing that ministry is not just an event that you put on the calendar once in a while but it's a lifestyle.

Two of our kids favorite friends are Noah and Julianna which we love hanging out with every week. They are so sweet to "baby Hannah." I sure hope they don't move away next summer after residency is over (wink wink Maria)

Our month has not been all fun and games...
This picture represents our three week trouble with our internet provider which will go unnamed
(cough cough AT&T). It gave me plenty of opportunities to put James 1:19 into practice:
"Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger..."

Drip drip drip
That is a sound no home owner wants to hear...

Yep! It's a leak...
But have no fear Mr. Fix-it is here : )

Unlike me, Benjamin LOVES having home projects going on.
Especially when it involves making holes in the wall/ceiling.

Good news...We found the leak!
Nothing a little plaster can't fix...right?
