January 2017

Our January got off to a rough start with round two of the Norovirus. Pray that it does not come to your home. If it does, my best advise to you is to go to Amazon and buy these Clorox Hydrogen Peroxide Wipes and wipe down EVERYTHING.

Thankful to all be feeling better at the same time!
Ready to play in the snow

Benjamin throwing snowballs at the street

Sweet Snow Snuggles

First snow angel

You know it's time to come inside when your son brings wood to the door.

Much better...

Frosty the Snowman

Last day of hunting season and they got their first deer while together!
(Next year this boy will have his own camo)

"Warm Fuzzies" are the currency of our home. The kids are given warm fuzzies for playing well together, using good words, preferring the other before themselves, saying their catechisms, and other acts of kindness. This has been great for our home and highly recommend it to families with young children. It promotes teamwork with positive reinforcement, it's not candy, and the reward for a full jar is a fun family outing.

...Yolo celebration!

Loving the Art Project

Our attempt at making paper boats...will use foil next time

Now that hunting season is over it's time for house projects again!
Benjamin used a jackhammer for the first time.

After I took this picture I thought to myself, "I have seen this before."

...2 years ago! Got to love those chubby Hannah cheeks

Grading the area before pouring concrete

Thanks Mimi and Grandy for the wheelbarrow!

Work hard...and Play harder

I spy with my little eye a Benjamin

He is climbing everything he can these days

Sweet Smile

We enjoyed a beautiful morning at the zoo with their cousins, Henry and Oliver

It's hard to tell in the picture but the hippo was asleep with his face smooshed against the glass.
Too funny!

Judah is on the move and loves the toddler area of the Children's Museum

This girl can always make me smile : )

You might have a sister if...

Frank and I went to IKEA for a date night this month. It was the first time for each of us. We enjoyed going through all the areas and I found the perfect storage space for my new homeschool materials.

I was so proud that I assembled it all by myself!

Frank found his old Lincoln Logs and taught Benjamin how to build cool cabins

They just don't make toys like they used to
