Top March Highlights
We had to opportunity to hang out with these sweet kids again in March : )
It made my heart full to be back together after a long time apart
We made some new fun memories together
Our kids were excited to have their playmates back even if it was for a short time
We count it a privilege to lift them up in prayer daily. God is not finished writing their stories and we trust He will continue to guide and protect them and give them a future and a hope.
We love play dates with Frank's sister, Michele, and cousins Henry and Oliver, and we are excited about baby Peter Finfrock due in July!
After a rainy afternoon, Benjamin and Hannah made foil boats with lego men to float down the "stream"
We still had some cold days in April.
The boys loved watching the fire get started
Judah can be a hand-full but is happy to be outside with sticks, dirt, and of course balls.
15 week bump
In March we started going back to the weekly story time at the Library. I have been making intentional time each day to read to the kids and recently started chapter books (Stuart Little, Charlotte's Web and now Little House on the Prairie) with Benjamin. They look forward to going to the Library each week to get new books.
Top April Highlights
In April the weather started to warm up and we have since spent a lot of time working and playing in the backyard
Benjamin using the pneumatic nailer to help Frank build the fence
Judah wanted to help too
Seriously the cutest wave of any baby I've seen
"Hop on Pop"
So thankful to have a husband who loves to get down on the floor and play/wrestle with the kids when he gets home from work. They know I'm too "fragile" to play like that : )
5th Annual Baby Swap Easter Egg Hunt
Easter 2017
Flying Judah
Frank finished the sandbox and it's been a big hit!
We went to go see the baby giraffe that was born at the Memphis Zoo. Unfortunately they were all hiding in their stalls when we arrived. Then I remembered how a friend told me the giraffes know their names. One by one we called out each giraffe's name and BOOM they would peek their head around the corner then come out to play! AMAZING!
Look who's using a spoon...well sometimes
Benjamin and Hannah went to their first "Mimi and Grandy Camp" in Kingsport, TN.
They packed lots of fun adventures into a short week: kayaking, crawfish catching, fishing, carousel riding, rocket launching, bowling...
...game playing, fish feeding, cake baking, train building, trampoline park jumping, playground playing...
...and of course lots of snuggles and love : )
They are already looking forward to next year!
Speaking of amazing grandparents - I'm so thankful to have Frank's parents near. We are blessed for the way they love on the kids and serve our family. Each Tuesday is fondly referred to as "Nana Day". Nana and Pops get to spend time with the Benjamin and Hannah doing fun things like the zoo, art projects, or CMOM while I run errands with Judah.
Top May Highlights
We found out May 5th that baby Roberts #4 is a girl!!!
Meet Bethany Noel Roberts
She might be cute and love wearing dresses/bows but this girl also loves digging in dirt for worms (in her hand)
Judah and Caleb at Botanic Gardens
These three have my heart <3 I'm thankful to have the opportunity to stay at home with them during the week and I don't take it for granted.
Playing dress-up
My little Wild Kratt
Hannah is scared of car washes but Benjamin said, "It's ok Hannah, I'll hold your hand."
He is such a kind, sweet, and protective big brother
Hannah is silly and joyful - she keeps us laughing
Judah keeps me on my toes.
He's a climber and an adventurer and into everything.
Frank and Benjamin have had a few opportunities this month to go fishing. This was after a particularly good day where they caught 24.
Frank cleaned the fish and we had a fish fry that evening.
Yummm!
Daddy daughter date to The Cupboard Restaurant
Their date was followed by playing at the park - Hannah climbed the tall rope ladder for the first time with encouragement every step of the way from her Daddy.
We had a scary evening with a big storm that blew through Memphis and hit midtown particularly hard. We swooped the kids out of bed at 11pm and sat down in our basement till the heavy winds stopped.
The next day driving around it was apparent why we needed to seek shelter. Over 155K houses lost power and 250 trees were down all over the city. We are thankful that we never lost power and no one was hurt.
Happy Birthday Frank!
Babe, 34 sure does looks good on you : )
