It's no secret that July is one of my favorite months with my birthday, 4th of July, and Anniversary there is always a reason to celebrate!
We had a wonderful time hanging out on my birthday with Nana and Pops
Frank treated me to making a sign for our home at Board and Brush with a couple of my friends
We prepped the boards by sanding, distressing, and then finished with a wood stain
Then we painted using a stencil
My finished product!
I love the way my sign turned out and the 80's music video photobomb makes this my favorite picture : ) **Photo creds to Emily**
I have a new birthday tradition:
Making a float for the neighborhood 4th of July parade with our neighbor friends
Ready for the parade
We didn't win a ribbon this year but we had fun
Bethany enjoying the ride
After parade party and popcorn with Nana
Love this kid!
Benjamin enjoyed taking a joy ride home on his 4-wheeler
Mimi Grandy Camp 2018
Benjamin and Hannah had a fun-filled week with my parents in East TN
I love that my parents have found creative ways to be intentional with our kids even though they don't live in Memphis. They made such special memories : )
While our big kids were in East TN I had special time with Judah and Bethany at home
10 months
What?!
Bethany is movin' and cruisin'
Judah is rollin' and wearing big boy underwear (sometimes)
Judah's favorite thing to do is play with his animal figures
Brother Love:
Somewhere between a hug and a choke-hold
While the kids were gone we assembled a new bunk bed. It was fun to surprise Benjamin with it when he got home.
His favorite part is the pull out desk. He wants to be an artist when he grows up.
Snoopy and Woodstock
Benjamin also enjoys doing step by step drawings on the Art Hub Youtube Channel
He did this one all by himself without me helping
I was so glad to have all the kid back together
Same hair. Same eyes. Same nose. Same sweet smile : )
Twinblings
They adore each other and now they are excitied to share a room!
Frank took Benjamin and Hannah fishing.
They brought home 12 keepers
Hannah's catch of the day
Zoo Camp 2018
Thanks Nana and Pops for sending Benjamin to zoo camp.
It's one of his favorite weeks of the summer!
My heart <3
Benjamin loves his Aunt Amy's sweet puppy
We have spent a lot of time in the pool this month with friends
Judah has really gained confidence with each time!
Hannah loves doing school work even in the summer...just like her Mama! I remember asking teachers for extra worksheets just to "play school" in the summer
Happy 12 Year Anniversary to my Love <3
We enjoyed watching the sunset over the Mississippi River after dinner at Babalu's
Frank and I took the new Bird Scooters for a spin.
We went over the Harrahan bridge into Arkansas and down to the Mississippi River.
I would highly recommend doing this as a fun date - They go pretty fast at full throttle
(I only had two near death moments)
It was a beautiful evening in the 70's which is rare for a Memphis July!
***If You Give Your Husband a Hammer - Chapter 3***
After taking a break because of having a baby your husband will want to figure out how to set up the back steps.
Then he will decide it won't be too much more work just to build a mud room addition.
He will be greatly satisfied with his concrete slab
and the framing will go quickly
Once it's time for the nail gun he will have to find the select times during the day that no child is sleeping which can be difficult with four littles.
He might even call a couple guys to help which makes the work go a little faster
**Boom**
Then he will find the perfect old door from work for the space
and he will finally cut the doorway back into the kitchen and you will all rejoice!
(I have missed my back door)
Once the siding is up and it's all sealed he will have a long talk with his wife about paying someone to finish the kitchen renovation! LOL
